Profile:
She is the renowned Gujarati stage artiste and wife of late actor-director Pravin Joshi and also mother of two of renowned television actresses Ketki Dave and Purvi Joshi. She started her acting career as a child artiste in gujarati theatre at the age of 8 and then when at the age of 15 she played the lead actrees of a gujarati play ‘Amaldaar’. Her play ‘Santu Rangeeli’ ran for almost 9 years in Gujarat. However, her role of abhishekh bachan’s mother in mani ratnam’s Guru brought her in limelight on the bigger screen.
